Reflection

Experience:
Throughout this semester, I went through various exercises, and I can feel that I have become more proficient in Adobe Photoshop. However, there are still many features I haven't discovered yet. Before starting this module, I thought it would involve photography, but it turned out that all the projects were completed using Adobe Photoshop. I'm really glad about that because my photography skills and passion for taking photos are not particularly strong. Initially, I didn't think it would be very challenging since it didn't require drawing like illustration does; instead, it involved using photos to complete the projects. However, now I feel that it's actually even more difficult than drawing. It's challenging to seamlessly merge different elements from various photos, and I find it truly challenging. The most challenging part is the final project, where we have to create animations using After Effects, and I encountered many difficulties along the way.

Observation:
I realized that feedback from others is actually important. It can provide me with design direction, reinforce my ideas, or sometimes offer support. Sometimes, I may think my ideas are great, but others may perceive them as terrible. Everyone has different perspectives, and this is something I've learned. Additionally, I understand that After Effects has more refined animation capabilities compared to Photoshop, but I'm not very familiar with it.

Findings:
Through this semester's learning, I gained a deeper understanding of editing images. Now, when I see composite images online, I feel a sense of admiration. Over the 14 weeks, I've noticed my own progress, but I still spend a significant amount of time searching for image materials, struggling with which ones to choose. The design process always presents various challenges, requiring repeated attempts. Sometimes, it can be exhausting, but when I see the final results, I feel a great sense of joy.
